- Assist experienced aides in providing daily care to patients, including but not limited to, bathing, dressing, feeding, and grooming.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by regularly sanitizing equipment, keeping patient rooms tidy, and following infection control protocols.
- Observe and report any changes in patients' physical or emotional conditions to the supervising nurse or aide.
- Participate in training programs and workshops to learn about the proper techniques and procedures for patient care.
- Follow individual care plans and assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) as directed by the supervising nurse or aide.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, promoting a positive and caring environment.
- Assist with transporting patients to appointments, activities, and therapy sessions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and report any concerns or issues to the supervising nurse or aide.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for patients.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including confidentiality and patient rights.
- Maintain a professional and compassionate attitude while performing job duties.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve skills and knowledge in the healthcare field.
- Uphold the mission, vision, and values of the Clarks Summit State Hospital.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and discussions.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising nurse or aide.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent
Minimum Of 1 Year Experience Working With Individuals With Mental Health Disorders Or Developmental Disabilities
Completion Of A State-Approved Aide Trainee Program
Current Cpr And First Aid Certification
Ability To Pass A Criminal Background Check And Drug Screening
