
Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor

- Conduct vocational assessments and evaluations to determine individuals' strengths, skills, and employment goals.
- Develop individualized vocational rehabilitation plans for clients, in collaboration with other members of the team.
- Provide career counseling and guidance to individuals with disabilities, including job search strategies, resume development, and interview preparation.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions on vocational topics such as job readiness, soft skills, and workplace accommodations.
- Coordinate with employers and community resources to identify job opportunities and support clients in securing employment.
- Monitor and document clients' progress towards their vocational goals, and make adjustments to their plans as needed.
- Advocate for clients' rights and needs in the workplace, and provide ongoing support and guidance to help them maintain employment.
- Stay up-to-date on new developments and best practices in the field of vocational rehabilitation.
- Collaborate with other agencies and organizations to maximize resources and provide comprehensive services to clients.
- Maintain accurate and timely records, reports, and case notes in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities.
- Represent the agency at community events and outreach activities to promote services and raise awareness of disability employment issues.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to ethical standards in all aspects of the job.
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all interactions and decision-making processes.
- Foster a positive and supportive work environment, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Certification As A Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (Crc) By The Commission On Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (Crcc).
Master's Degree In Rehabilitation Counseling Or A Related Field, Such As Psychology Or Social Work.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Providing Vocational Rehabilitation Services To Individuals With Disabilities.
Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws Related To Vocational Rehabilitation, Including The Americans With Disabilities Act (Ada) And The Rehabilitation Act.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Clients, Employers, And Other Service Providers.
