  1. Perform a variety of skilled trades work, such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, to maintain and repair state facilities and infrastructure.
  2. Collaborate with other trades professionals and team members to ensure efficient and effective completion of tasks and projects.
  3. Utilize knowledge and expertise in trades to troubleshoot and diagnose issues and provide appropriate solutions.
  4. Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.
  5. Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on projects.
  6. Prioritize and manage workload to meet deadlines and respond to urgent requests.
  7. Monitor and maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies needed for assigned tasks.
  8. Communicate with supervisors, colleagues, and other stakeholders to provide updates on work progress and report any issues or concerns.
  9. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and stay updated on industry standards and best practices.
  10. Embody a strong work ethic and a commitment to providing exceptional service to citizens of New York.
  11. Represent the state in a professional and courteous manner, promoting a positive image of the organization.
  12. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and cost-saving measures.
  13. Adhere to all state and federal regulations, policies, and procedures related to trades work.
  14. Stay updated on industry developments and advancements to maintain a high level of knowledge and expertise.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or management.

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Driver's License And Reliable Transportation For Travel To Job Sites
