  1. Oversee the financial management of all Veterans Home facilities in the state of New York.
  2. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to fiscal management.
  3. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
  4. Manage the budgeting process for all Veterans Home facilities, including forecasting and monitoring expenses.
  5. Monitor and analyze financial data to identify areas for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  6. Provide guidance and support to facility administrators on financial matters.
  7. Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records.
  8. Collaborate with various departments and agencies to coordinate financial activities and reporting.
  9. Train and supervise a team of financial staff to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.
  10. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in fiscal management for Veterans Home facilities.
  11. Communicate financial information, reports, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  12. Represent the state in meetings and negotiations with external partners and contractors.
  13. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners, including government agencies, vendors, and financial institutions.
  14. Provide strategic leadership and direction to continuously improve the financial operations of the Veterans Home facilities.
  15. Act as a liaison between the state and Veterans Home facilities to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Fiscal Management, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Veterans' Services Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Regulations Related To Fiscal Management, Budgeting, And Reporting.

  • Strong Leadership Skills And Experience In Supervising A Team Of Financial Professionals.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other Departments And Stakeholders.
