- Greet and welcome visitors to the State Fair with a positive and friendly attitude.
- Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a memorable experience for all fairgoers.
- Work collaboratively with a team to set up and maintain fairgrounds, attractions, and exhibits.
- Operate various equipment and machinery, such as rides, food stands, and games, in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assist with crowd control and maintain a safe and orderly environment.
- Answer questions and provide information to fairgoers about the fair, attractions, and events.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Handle and resolve customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including restocking supplies and removing trash.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for fairgoers.
- Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
- Adhere to work schedule and be punctual for shifts.
- Attend training and meetings as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
High School Diploma Or Ged Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For The State Fair Worker Position Is A High School Diploma Or Ged Equivalent. This Ensures That The Applicant Has A Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge To Perform Their Job Duties Effectively.

Physical Stamina And Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: State Fair Workers Are Required To Work Long Hours, Often In A Fast-Paced And Physically Demanding Environment. They May Be Required To Stand For Extended Periods, Lift Heavy Objects, And Work Outdoors In Various Weather Conditions. Therefore, Applicants Must Be Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Demands Of The Job.
Knowledge Of Fairground Operations And Safety Protocols: State Fair Workers Must Have A Basic Understanding Of Fairground Operations And Safety Protocols. This Includes Knowledge Of Emergency Procedures, Fire Safety, And Crowd Control Measures. Previous Experience Working At A Fair Or Event Is Preferred.
Flexibility And Availability To Work Weekends And Holidays: State Fair Workers Are Typically Employed Seasonally, During The State Fair Or Other Events.
