Job Description

The State of New York is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Program Manager 2 to oversee our residential programs for individuals with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of those in our care while utilizing your leadership skills and knowledge of program management.   1. Oversee and manage all aspects of the residential programs for individuals with developmental disabilities.
  2. Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the effective operation of the programs.
  3. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and standards.
  4. Hire, train, and supervise a team of direct care staff to provide high-quality care and support to residents.
  5. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback and coaching to staff.
  6. Collaborate with other departments and agencies to coordinate services and resources for residents.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with families and guardians of residents to ensure their needs are being met.
  8. Monitor and maintain budgetary and financial responsibilities for the programs.
  9. Develop and implement individualized care plans for each resident, taking into consideration their unique needs and abilities.
  10. Conduct regular meetings with staff to discuss program goals and address any issues or concerns.
  11. Act as a liaison between the residential programs and state officials, advocating for the needs of the residents.
  12. Ensure a safe and healthy environment for residents by conducting regular safety and sanitation checks.
  13. Stay updated on current trends and best practices in the field of developmental disabilities to continuously improve program services.
  14. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports on program activities and resident progress.
  15. Uphold the mission and values of the organization and promote a positive and inclusive work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Public Administration, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Program Management, Preferably In A Residential Setting.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Residential Programs.

  • Ability To Develop And Implement Program Policies, Procedures, And Budgets.
