Job Description

  1. Review and analyze rental data to determine fair market values for rent assessments.
  2. Conduct thorough investigations and research to ensure accuracy of rent assessments.
  3. Stay up-to-date on rent regulations and guidelines to ensure compliance.
  4. Make recommendations for rent adjustments based on data analysis and regulations.
  5. Communicate findings and recommendations clearly and effectively to team members and stakeholders.
  6. Collaborate with other team members to ensure consistency and accuracy in rent assessments.
  7. Identify and address any discrepancies or errors in rental data.
  8. Maintain detailed records and documentation of all rent assessments.
  9. Participate in training and educational opportunities to stay current on industry trends and best practices.
  10. Provide excellent customer service to tenants and landlords by addressing any concerns or questions related to rent assessments.
  11. Conduct regular audits to ensure fair and accurate rent assessments.
  12. Assist in the development of policies and procedures related to rent assessments.
  13. Represent the state of New York in legal proceedings related to rent assessments.
  14. Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
  15. Continuously strive to improve and streamline rent assessment processes.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field.

  • Strong Analytical Skills And Attention To Detail.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Rent Examination Or A Related Field.

  • Knowledge Of New York State Laws And Regulations Related To Rent Control And Rent Stabilization.
