- Provide individual and group therapy sessions to help participants improve their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Create a safe and inclusive environment for all participants, ensuring that all activities are accessible and appropriate.
- Continuously evaluate and modify programs based on participant feedback and individual progress.
- Educate participants and their families on the benefits of therapeutic recreation and how to continue practicing skills outside of therapy sessions.
- Stay up-to-date with current research and advancements in the field of recreational therapy to improve program offerings.
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations and ethical guidelines related to recreational therapy and participant care.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Recreation Therapist In A Healthcare Or Rehabilitation Setting.
Bachelor's Degree In Recreation Therapy Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Certification As A Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (Ctrs) Through The National Council For Therapeutic Recreation Certification (Nctrc).
Knowledge Of Various Therapeutic Recreation Interventions, Techniques, And Assessments.
Ability To Develop And Implement Individualized Treatment Plans And Document Progress For Patients With Physical, Mental, Or Emotional Disabilities.
