  1. Develop and implement public health programs and initiatives to improve the health and well-being of the community.
  2. Stay up-to-date on current public health trends, research, and best practices to inform program development and decision-making.
  3. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to assess community needs and develop targeted strategies to address public health issues.
  4. Conduct research and data analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of existing programs and make recommendations for improvement.
  5. Provide expertise and guidance to other team members on public health issues and strategies.
  6. Develop and maintain partnerships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and other key stakeholders to support public health initiatives.
  7. Communicate and disseminate information about public health programs and initiatives to various audiences, including community members, policymakers, and healthcare professionals.
  8. Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations related to public health programs.
  9. Participate in the development and management of program budgets and grants.
  10. Act as a liaison between the state health department and local public health agencies to facilitate collaboration and coordination of efforts.
  11. Stay informed of emerging public health threats and assist in developing emergency response plans.
  12. Represent the state health department at meetings, conferences, and other events related to public health.
  13. Continuously assess and improve upon processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness of public health initiatives.
  14. Mentor and train junior staff members on public health principles and practices.
  15. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
