Job Qualifications
  • Medical Degree: A Psychiatrist 2 At The State Of New York Must Possess A Medical Degree From An Accredited Institution. This Degree Is Typically Obtained After 4 Years Of Undergraduate Studies And 4 Years Of Medical School.

  • Board Certification: The Candidate Must Be Board Certified In Psychiatry By The American Board Of Psychiatry And Neurology (Abpn). This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Rigorous Standards Set By The Abpn And Is Qualified To Practice Psychiatry.

  • New York State License: The Candidate Must Hold A Valid License To Practice Medicine In The State Of New York. This License Is Obtained After Passing The United States Medical Licensing Examination (Usmle) And Completing A Residency Program.

  • Clinical Experience: A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Clinical Experience In The Field Of Psychiatry Is Required For This Position. This Experience Should Include Working With A Diverse Population And Managing A Variety Of Mental Health Conditions.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As A Psychiatrist 2, The Candidate Will Be Required To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Essential For This Role.
