Job Description

  1. Develop and implement project plans to support community development initiatives.
  2. Identify and collaborate with relevant stakeholders, including community organizations, government agencies, and local residents.
  3. Oversee the execution of community development projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  4. Monitor and track project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or delays.
  5. Communicate project updates and results to key stakeholders and the community.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and organizations to support community development efforts.
  7. Conduct research and analyze data to inform project decisions and strategies.
  8. Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
  9. Develop and manage project budgets, including securing funding and allocating resources effectively.
  10. Lead and motivate project team members to achieve project goals and objectives.
  11. Evaluate project outcomes and make recommendations for future initiatives.
  12. Stay current on community development trends and best practices to continuously improve project implementation.
  13. Represent the State of New York at community events and meetings related to community development.
  14. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork and collaboration.
  15. Uphold the values and mission of the State of New York in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Community Development, Public Administration, Or Project Management.

  • At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Managing Community Development Projects, Preferably In A Government Or Non-Profit Setting.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Stakeholders, Community Members, And Government Officials.

  • Experience In Budget Management, Grant Writing, And Fundraising To Secure Funding For Community Development Projects.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Community Development Projects And Experience Navigating The Government Procurement Process.
