- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the New York Asian American Pacific Islander Commission (NYAAPIC) to ensure efficient and effective functioning of the organization.
- Develop and implement programs and initiatives that address the needs and promote the well-being of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) in the state of New York.
- Collaborate with team members to strategize and plan for the growth and expansion of the organization's reach and impact.
- Conduct research and gather data to inform the development of programs and initiatives.
- Manage and maintain relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and funders to support the organization's mission and goals.
- Develop and manage budgets for programs and operations, ensuring financial sustainability and accountability.
- Plan and coordinate events, workshops, and other activities to engage and educate the AAPI community.
- Supervise and mentor staff members and volunteers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.
- Stay updated on current issues, policies, and trends related to AAPI communities and incorporate them into the organization's work.
- Collaborate with other departments within the organization to ensure alignment and coordination of efforts.
- Act as a spokesperson for the organization, representing NYAAPIC at events, conferences, and meetings.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and initiatives, making necessary adjustments for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards in the operation of the organization.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on program activities, outcomes, and impact.
- Assist with fundraising efforts, including grant writing and donor cultivation, to secure resources for the organization's programs and operations.
Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Public Administration, Business Administration, Or Non-Profit Management.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Program Management And/Or Operations Management, Preferably In A Government Or Non-Profit Setting.
Knowledge Of Asian American And Pacific Islander (Aapi) Communities And Issues, As Well As Experience Working With Diverse Populations.
Strong Organizational, Analytical, And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Manage Multiple Projects And Tasks Simultaneously.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Stakeholders, Partners, And Community Members.
