- Conduct research and analysis to identify transportation needs and develop solutions to improve infrastructure in the State of New York.
- Collaborate with other team members to design and implement transportation projects.
- Review and approve engineering plans and specifications for transportation projects.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and standards for transportation construction and maintenance.
- Prepare and present reports, proposals, and recommendations to management and other stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets and timelines, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other team members.
- Stay up-to-date on industry developments and advancements in transportation technology.
- Foster relationships with external partners, including government agencies and contractors.
- Participate in meetings and conferences to represent NYHELPS and share knowledge and expertise.
- Continuously assess and improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations in the design and execution of transportation projects.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for all projects and activities.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to improving New York's infrastructure and promoting sustainable transportation solutions.
- Uphold NYHELPS' values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation in all aspects of the job.
Professional Engineer (Pe) License In The State Of New York.
Bachelor's Degree In Civil Engineering Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Civil Or Transportation Engineering.
Knowledge Of Relevant Federal, State, And Local Regulations And Codes.
Strong Communication And Project Management Skills.
