Welcome to the State of New York Parks Department! We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Park Manager 2 to join our team and oversee the management and operations of our state parks. As a Park Manager 2, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the preservation and enhancement of our natural resources while providing visitors with an exceptional outdoor experience.   1. Oversee the management and operations of state parks to ensure the preservation and enhancement of natural resources.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service to park visitors, ensuring a positive and enjoyable outdoor experience.
  3. Develop and implement strategic plans for the maintenance, improvement, and development of park facilities and resources.
  4. Monitor park budgets and financial reports, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial guidelines.
  5. Supervise a team of park staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance.
  6. Collaborate with other departments and agencies to coordinate park activities, events, and projects.
  7. Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations, laws, and policies related to park management.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with local community groups, stakeholders, and partners to support park initiatives and events.
  9. Conduct regular inspections and evaluations of park facilities, equipment, and grounds to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
  10. Prepare and present reports, proposals, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.
  11. Stay current on industry trends and best practices in park management to continuously improve park operations.
  12. Serve as a point of contact for any park-related inquiries, complaints, or emergencies.
  13. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment for park staff, promoting teamwork, professionalism, and mutual respect.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Parks And Recreation Management Or A Related Field.
