  4. Collaborate with engineers and other professionals to determine appropriate testing methods and procedures.
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or discrepancies with materials testing processes.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in materials testing technology.
  7. Train and mentor junior materials testing team members.
  8. Communicate effectively with project managers and other team members to ensure timely completion of testing and accurate reporting.
  9. Adhere to all safety protocols and standards while conducting materials testing.
  10. Participate in quality control and assurance initiatives to continuously improve testing procedures and accuracy.
  11. Assist with procurement and inventory management of testing equipment and supplies.
  12. Represent the State of New York in a professional and ethical manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Accurately Record And Report Test Results.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Materials Science, Engineering, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Materials Testing, Preferably In A Government Or Industrial Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Testing Methods, Such As Astm And Iso.

  • Familiarity With Various Testing Equipment And Software, Including Spectrometers, Microscopes, And Data Analysis Programs.
