Job Description

  1. Conduct psychological evaluations and assessments to determine the mental health needs of individuals in the state of New York.
  2. Develop and implement treatment plans for clients, utilizing evidence-based techniques and theories.
  3. Provide individual and group therapy sessions to clients, utilizing a compassionate and client-centered approach.
  4. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment plans.
  5. Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and counselors, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for clients.
  6. Stay up-to-date on current research and developments in the field of psychology and incorporate this knowledge into practice.
  7. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in all aspects of practice.
  8. Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in times of need.
  9. Educate and provide guidance to clients and their families on mental health issues and resources.
  10. Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
  11. Work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
  12. Maintain a caseload and manage scheduling and administrative tasks related to client care.
  13. Represent the organization and the field of psychology in a professional and positive manner.
  14. Actively contribute to program development and quality improvement initiatives.
  15. Uphold the values and mission of the organization and strive to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals in the state of New York.

Job Qualifications
  • Doctoral Degree In Psychology: The State Of New York Requires All Licensed Psychologists To Hold A Doctoral Degree In Psychology From An Accredited Institution.

  • State Licensure: Candidates Must Hold A Valid License To Practice Psychology In The State Of New York. This Includes Passing The Examination For Professional Practice In Psychology (Eppp) And Completing Any Additional State-Specific Requirements.

  • Clinical Experience: Applicants Must Have A Minimum Of Two Years Of Supervised Clinical Experience. This Can Include Internships, Residencies, Or Other Supervised Training Programs.

  • Knowledge Of State Laws And Regulations: Licensed Psychologists In New York Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of State Laws And Regulations Related To The Practice Of Psychology. This Includes Laws Governing Confidentiality, Informed Consent, And Ethical Standards.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: As A Licensed Psychologist, The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Clients, Colleagues, And Other Healthcare Professionals Is Essential. This Includes Strong Listening Skills, Empathy, And The Ability To Convey Complex Information In A Clear And Understandable Manner.
