  1. Collaborate with senior landscape architects to design and develop sustainable outdoor spaces that meet the needs of the community and adhere to state regulations and standards.
  2. Conduct site visits and surveys to assess the feasibility and potential of proposed projects.
  3. Prepare design plans, sketches, and 3D models using computer-aided design (CAD) software.
  4. Research and select appropriate plant species and materials for each project, taking into consideration factors such as climate, soil conditions, and maintenance requirements.
  5. Assist with the preparation of cost estimates and project budgets.
  6. Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and other professionals to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
  7. Monitor construction progress and provide guidance to ensure that designs are implemented correctly.
  8. Keep informed about new developments and advancements in the field of landscape architecture and incorporate innovative techniques and technologies into projects.
  9. Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
  10. Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders to understand project objectives and provide updates on project progress.
  11. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on site.
  12. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and growth to enhance skills and knowledge in the field of landscape architecture.
  13. Uphold ethical standards and promote environmentally responsible practices in all aspects of work.
  14. Represent the state of New York in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Landscape Architecture From An Accredited University.

  • Knowledge Of Landscape Design Principles, Plant Materials, And Construction Techniques.

  • Experience With Autocad, Gis, And Other Design Software.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Work With Clients, Contractors, And Other Stakeholders.

  • Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team, With Strong Organizational And Time Management Skills.
