- Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on highways and roadways in accordance with state regulations and standards.
- Operate and maintain various equipment and vehicles used for highway maintenance, such as plows, trucks, and mowers.

- Assist with snow and ice removal operations during inclement weather.
- Participate in on-the-job training programs to develop skills and knowledge of highway maintenance procedures.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For This Position Is A High School Diploma Or Ged. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Understanding Of Math, Science, And Communication Skills.
Valid Driver's License: A Valid Driver's License Is A Must For This Position As The Job Requires Frequent Travel To Various Work Sites. Additionally, The Candidate Must Have A Clean Driving Record To Operate State-Owned Vehicles.
Physical Fitness: The Candidate Must Be Physically Fit And Capable Of Performing Manual Labor Such As Lifting Heavy Equipment And Materials, Digging, And Working In Various Weather Conditions.
Basic Knowledge Of Maintenance And Repair: Familiarity With Basic Maintenance And Repair Techniques For Equipment And Tools Used In Highway Maintenance Is Preferred. This Includes Knowledge Of Safety Procedures And Handling Hazardous Materials.
Ability To Follow Instructions: A Successful Candidate Should Have The Ability To Follow Instructions And Work Well In A Team Environment. They Should Also Be Able To Take Direction From Superiors And Complete Assigned Tasks Efficiently And Accurately.
