  1. Develop Individualized Habilitation Plans: The Habilitation Specialist 1 will be responsible for creating individualized plans for individuals with developmental disabilities, taking into consideration their unique needs, abilities, and goals.
  2. Provide Direct Support: This role requires providing direct support and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, including helping them with daily living tasks, accessing community resources, and promoting independence.
  3. Conduct Assessments: The Habilitation Specialist 1 will be responsible for conducting assessments to determine the strengths, needs, and goals of each individual and use this information to inform their habilitation plans.
  4. Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team: This position requires working closely with other professionals, such as therapists, social workers, and medical professionals, to ensure that all aspects of an individual's needs are being addressed.
  5. Monitor Progress: It will be the responsibility of the Habilitation Specialist 1 to regularly monitor and track the progress of individuals, making adjustments to their plans as needed to ensure their continued growth and development.
  6. Advocate for Individuals: This role requires advocating for the rights and needs of individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring they have access to necessary resources and opportunities for a fulfilling and independent life.
  7. Educate and Train: The Habilitation Specialist 1 will be responsible for providing education and training to individuals, their families, and caregivers on strategies for promoting independence and maximizing potential.
  8. Maintain Documentation: This position requires maintaining accurate and detailed documentation of all services provided, progress made, and any changes in an individual's needs or goals.
  9. Stay Up-to-Date on Policies and Regulations: The Habilitation Specialist 1 will be responsible for staying current on all relevant policies and regulations related to developmental disabilities services and implementing them in their work.
  10. Attend Meetings and Trainings: This role will require attending meetings, conferences, and trainings to stay informed on best practices, new developments, and to network with other professionals in the field.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Psychology, Social Work, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working With Individuals With Disabilities.
