  1. Greet and welcome visitors to the State of New York with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  2. Serve as the first point of contact for all inquiries and requests, both in person and over the phone.
  3. Maintain a neat and organized front desk area, ensuring a positive and welcoming environment for all visitors.
  4. Provide administrative support to department staff, including scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
  5. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion.
  6. Assist with special projects and events as needed.
  7. Respond to and resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
  8. Collaborate with other administrative assistants to ensure smooth and efficient functioning of the department.
  9. Keep track of office supplies and place orders when needed.
  10. Maintain accurate records and files, both physical and electronic.
  11. Communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of staff and external stakeholders.
  12. Stay up-to-date on department policies and procedures to provide accurate and helpful information to visitors.
  13. Continuously strive to improve customer service and processes to enhance the overall experience for visitors.
  14. Adhere to all state and federal laws and regulations regarding confidentiality and privacy.
  15. Any other duties as assigned by department management.
