We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as the Director of Forest Ranger Services.   1. Develop and implement strategic plans for the state's forest ranger program that align with the department's goals and objectives.
  2. Oversee and manage a team of forest rangers, providing guidance, support, and leadership to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the program.
  3. Monitor and evaluate the performance of forest rangers, providing regular feedback and conducting performance reviews.
  4. Maintain a thorough understanding of state laws, regulations, and policies related to conservation and natural resource management.
  5. Collaborate with other departments, agencies, and stakeholders to coordinate efforts and resources for effective management of natural landscapes.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with local communities, organizations, and individuals to promote conservation efforts and address any concerns or issues.
  7. Conduct regular trainings, workshops, and meetings to ensure forest rangers are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out their duties.
  8. Oversee the budget and financial resources for the forest ranger program, ensuring responsible and efficient use of funds.
  9. Develop and implement protocols and procedures for emergency response, search and rescue operations, and other critical situations.
  10. Stay up-to-date on current trends and advancements in conservation and natural resource management to continuously improve the forest ranger program.
  11. Represent the department and the forest ranger program at meetings, conferences, and public events.
  12. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations in all aspects of the forest ranger program.
  13. Prepare and submit reports to department leadership and government officials on the status and progress of the forest ranger program.
  14. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting diversity and equal opportunity among team members.
  15. Adhere to all ethical and professional standards set by the department and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Forestry, Natural Resource Management, Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Forest Management Or Related Field

  • Strong Leadership And Management Skills, With Proven Experience In Managing A Team

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Forest Management And Conservation

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact Effectively With Diverse Stakeholders And Communities.
