  1. Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a secure treatment setting.
  2. Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals by following established protocols and procedures.
  3. Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, their families, and other members of the treatment team.
  4. Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
  5. Document and report any changes or concerns in an individual's behavior or health to appropriate personnel.
  6. Attend and actively participate in trainings and meetings to learn about developmental disabilities and treatment techniques.
  7. Collaborate with team members to create and implement individualized care plans.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized living and working environment for individuals.
  9. Foster a supportive and inclusive environment that promotes independence and personal growth for individuals.
  10. Communicate effectively with individuals, their families, and colleagues to ensure quality care and services.
  11. Adhere to all state and federal regulations, policies, and procedures.
  12. Continuously improve skills and knowledge related to developmental disabilities and treatment through ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  13. Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality of sensitive information.
  14. Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude towards work and individuals with developmental disabilities.
  15. Serve as an advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities and promote their rights and dignity.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Ged Is Required For This Position To Ensure Basic Educational Competency.

  • Experience Working With Individuals With Developmental Disabilities: Previous Experience Working With Individuals With Developmental Disabilities, Either Through Volunteer Work Or Employment, Is Preferred.

  • Cpr And First Aid Certification: A Valid Cpr And First Aid Certification Is Required For This Position To Ensure The Safety And Well-Being Of Clients.

  • Knowledge Of Developmental Disabilities: Candidates Should Have A Basic Understanding Of Developmental Disabilities And The Challenges Faced By Individuals With These Conditions.

  • Ability To Pass Background Checks: As This Position Involves Working With Vulnerable Individuals, Candidates Must Be Able To Pass A Comprehensive Background Check, Including Criminal History And Child Abuse Registry Checks.
