- Develop and implement strategic plans and policies for the real estate market in the State of New York.
- Provide leadership and direction to the real estate team, ensuring alignment with state objectives and priorities.
- Oversee all real estate initiatives and projects, including acquisitions, leasing, and development.
- Monitor and analyze market trends and data to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for growth.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including developers, investors, and community leaders.
- Advise and collaborate with other state agencies and departments on real estate matters.
- Identify and mitigate any potential risks or challenges in real estate projects.
- Develop and manage the real estate budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Represent the state in negotiations and partnerships related to real estate development and transactions.
- Stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.
- Provide regular reports and updates to the Commissioner and other state officials on real estate initiatives and progress.
- Act as a spokesperson for the state on real estate matters, communicating effectively with the media and the public.
- Continuously evaluate and improve real estate processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with local and federal agencies to support and promote real estate development and economic growth in the state.
Minimum Of 10 Years Experience In The Real Estate Industry, With At Least 5 Years In A Leadership Or Managerial Role.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field Such As Real Estate, Business, Or Finance. A Master's Degree Is Preferred.
Knowledge Of New York State Laws And Regulations Pertaining To Real Estate, Including But Not Limited To Property Taxes, Land Use, And Zoning.
Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate And Negotiate With A Diverse Range Of Stakeholders.
Proven Track Record Of Successfully Managing Large-Scale Real Estate Projects, Including Budgeting, Forecasting, And Risk Management.
