- Utilize personal lived experience and training to provide support and resources to individuals with mental health challenges.
- Demonstrate empathy, understanding, and a non-judgmental attitude towards clients.
- Foster a positive and safe environment for clients to share their experiences and concerns.
- Serve as a role model for clients by sharing personal recovery journey and providing hope and inspiration.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, actively listening to their needs and concerns.
- Collaborate with other mental health professionals to ensure a comprehensive treatment plan for clients.
- Facilitate support groups and educational workshops to promote mental health awareness and self-care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress and interactions.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through required trainings and workshops.
- Adhere to all ethical and professional standards in the mental health field.
- Uphold confidentiality and privacy of clients and their personal information.
- Advocate for clients' rights and needs within the mental health system.
- Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss client progress and needs.
- Display a strong commitment to the mission and values of the organization.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times, both with clients and colleagues.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent.
Must Have Completed A State-Approved Certified Peer Specialist Training Program.
Must Have Lived Experience With A Mental Health Condition And Be Actively Managing Their Recovery.
Knowledge Of Community Resources And Ability To Connect Peers With Appropriate Support Services.
