- Conduct research and surveys on various wildlife species to gather data on population trends, behavior, and habitat use.
- Analyze and interpret data to assess the health and status of wildlife populations and make recommendations for management strategies.
- Develop and implement plans for the conservation and management of endangered or threatened species.
- Collaborate with other biologists and wildlife professionals to coordinate and implement conservation and management projects.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of management strategies and make adjustments as needed.
- Conduct field work, including tracking, trapping, and tagging of wildlife, as well as collecting and analyzing biological samples.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of research data, field observations, and project activities.
- Prepare and present reports, presentations, and publications on research findings and conservation efforts.
- Stay updated on current research, techniques, and best practices in wildlife biology and conservation.
- Act as a liaison between the agency and the public, providing information and education on wildlife conservation and management efforts.
- Comply with all state and federal regulations and protocols related to wildlife research and management.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and procedures while working in the field.
- Work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Participate in and support fundraising and outreach efforts to support wildlife conservation initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Bachelor's Degree In Biology, Wildlife Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Conducting Field Research And Monitoring Of Wildlife Populations.
Knowledge Of Local And Federal Regulations Related To Wildlife Conservation And Management.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills For Data Collection And Interpretation.
Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team, With Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
