- Conduct audits of tax returns, financial records, and other documents to ensure compliance with state tax laws and regulations.
- Analyze and interpret financial data to identify potential discrepancies or errors.
- Prepare and maintain accurate audit reports and documentation.
- Collaborate with other team members to review and evaluate audit findings.
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations to taxpayers and/or their representatives.
- Assist in developing and implementing audit procedures and guidelines.
- Stay up-to-date on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure accuracy and compliance in audits.
- Maintain confidentiality of taxpayer information and adhere to ethical standards.
- Provide excellent customer service to taxpayers and effectively address any questions or concerns they may have.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Assist in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.
- Adhere to deadlines and manage workload in a timely and efficient manner.
- Represent the department in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills.
Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field.
Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
