In this role, you will work closely with our Procurement Administrator and assist in managing the procurement process from initiation to contract award.   1. Assist the Procurement Administrator in managing and overseeing all procurement activities for the State of New York.
  2. Work closely with the Procurement Administrator to develop and implement procurement policies and procedures.
  3. Review and evaluate procurement requests and develop appropriate procurement strategies.
  4. Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and obtain competitive bids.
  5. Manage the procurement process from initiation to contract award, including drafting and issuing requests for proposals and quotes, evaluating bids and proposals, and negotiating contracts.
  6. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to procurement.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all procurement activities.
  8. Communicate with vendors and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient procurement of goods and services.
  9. Provide guidance and support to departmental staff on procurement processes and procedures.
  10. Participate in the development and implementation of cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
  11. Conduct training sessions and workshops on procurement for departmental staff and stakeholders.
  12. Assist in the development and management of vendor relationships to ensure the delivery of high-quality goods and services.
  13. Monitor contract performance and take necessary actions to resolve any issues or disputes.
  14. Prepare reports and presentations on procurement activities and performance for management and stakeholders.
  15. Adhere to ethical standards in all procurement activities and maintain the highest level of integrity and confidentiality.

Job Qualifications
  • Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience In Procurement, Purchasing, Or Supply Chain Management.

  • Knowledge Of State Procurement Laws And Regulations.
