- Develop and maintain emergency plans and protocols for the assigned agency, ensuring they are updated and in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other emergency management professionals and stakeholders to prepare for and respond to natural disasters, public health emergencies, and other crisis situations.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards within the agency, making recommendations for mitigation and preparedness measures.
- Train agency staff on emergency procedures and protocols, ensuring they are knowledgeable and prepared to respond in emergency situations.
- Act as the point of contact for all emergency situations within the agency, providing timely and accurate information to key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Monitor and analyze emergency management data and trends, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for enhancing emergency response capabilities.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local, state, and federal emergency management agencies and organizations to facilitate collaborative emergency response efforts.
- Coordinate and conduct emergency drills and exercises to test the agency's emergency plans and protocols, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
- Serve as a liaison between the agency and the state's emergency management office, providing regular updates and reports on emergency preparedness and response efforts.
- Stay current on emerging trends and best practices in emergency management, attending conferences and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Respond to emergency situations as needed, assuming a leadership role in coordinating and directing emergency response efforts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation related to emergency management activities and expenditures.
- Provide support and guidance to agency leadership during emergency situations, ensuring a coordinated and effective response.
- Collaborate with other agency coordinators to develop and implement statewide emergency management initiatives and programs.
- Act as a representative of the agency in emergency management meetings and conferences, sharing information and advocating for the agency's needs and priorities.
Bachelor's Degree In Emergency Management, Public Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Emergency Management, Disaster Response, Or Related Field.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Emergency Management Policies, Procedures, And Regulations.
Strong Leadership And Organizational Skills, With The Ability To Coordinate And Manage Multiple Agencies And Stakeholders During Emergencies.
