- Utilize strong attention to detail to ensure accurate and consistent determinations.

- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to discuss complex cases and seek guidance when needed.
- Uphold ethical standards and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Provide excellent customer service to claimants and their families, answering questions and addressing concerns in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Keep detailed and accurate records of all evaluations and decisions made.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to continuously improve skills and knowledge related to disability determinations.
- Act as an advocate for individuals with disabilities, promoting fair and equitable treatment in the determination process.
- Contribute to the improvement and implementation of policies and procedures related to disability determinations.
- Represent the state in legal proceedings related to disability determinations, if necessary.
- Prioritize workload and meet established deadlines to ensure timely processing of disability claims.
- Support the overall mission and values of the state agency and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Social Work, Psychology, Or Disability Studies.
Knowledge And Understanding Of Federal And State Disability Laws, Regulations, And Procedures.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Disability Determination Or Related Field.
Strong Analytical And Decision-Making Skills With The Ability To Evaluate Complex Medical And Vocational Evidence.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Individuals With Disabilities, Medical Professionals, And Attorneys.
