- Oversee and manage the accurate and timely processing of healthcare claims for the State of Louisiana.
- Utilize coding expertise to ensure proper coding of medical procedures, diagnoses, and services.
- Communicate and collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and government agencies to resolve claim issues and discrepancies.
- Monitor and review claims data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Train and educate team members on coding and claims procedures, as well as any updates or changes in regulations.
- Conduct quality assurance audits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of claims data, including tracking and reporting on claims status and outcomes.

- Assist in the development and implementation of processes and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy of claims processing.
- Provide excellent customer service to healthcare providers and patients regarding coding and claims inquiries.

Knowledge Of Coding And Billing Procedures: The Candidate Should Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Medical Coding Systems, Such As Icd-10 And Cpt, As Well As Billing Processes And Insurance Requirements.
Certification In Medical Coding: A Nationally Recognized Coding Certification, Such As Cpc Or Ccs, Is Preferred For This Role To Demonstrate Proficiency And Accuracy In Medical Coding.
Experience In Claims Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Hands-On Experience In Handling Insurance Claims, Including Claim Submissions, Follow-Up, And Resolution Of Claim Denials.
Attention To Detail: As A Coding & Claims Coordinator, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Reviewing And Auditing Medical Records For Accuracy And Compliance. Therefore, Excellent Attention To Detail Is Essential In This Role.
