- Investigate reports of abuse, neglect, and exploitation of vulnerable adults.
- Conduct thorough interviews with victims, witnesses, and other relevant parties to gather information.
- Collect and analyze evidence, including medical records, financial statements, and other documents.
- Assess the safety and well-being of adults and develop appropriate intervention plans.
- Collaborate with law enforcement, healthcare professionals, and other agencies to ensure effective response and intervention.
- Provide crisis intervention and support services to victims and their families.
- Maintain accurate and detailed case records and documentation.
- Keep up-to-date with laws, policies, and procedures related to adult protection.
- Conduct regular home visits and follow-up investigations to ensure the safety and well-being of adults.
- Provide education and training to the community on recognizing and reporting abuse, neglect, and exploitation of vulnerable adults.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to coordinate services and resources for victims.
- Advocate for the rights and needs of vulnerable adults.
- Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Attend court hearings and provide testimony as needed.
- Continuously evaluate and assess case progress and make recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with supervisor and team members to develop and implement strategies to improve services and outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Represent the agency in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Psychology, Or A Related Field From An Accredited College Or University.
At Least Two Years Of Experience Working In A Social Services Or Healthcare Setting, Preferably With Vulnerable Adults.
Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Adult Protection And Elder Abuse.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, Including The Ability To Work Effectively With A Diverse Range Of Individuals And Agencies.
Ability To Conduct Thorough Investigations, Make Sound Decisions, And Develop Appropriate Intervention Plans To Address Cases Of Suspected Abuse Or Neglect.
