  1. Develop and deliver curriculum for cosmetology courses in accordance with state education standards.
  2. Create a positive and engaging learning environment for students.
  3. Provide hands-on instruction and practical demonstrations to students.
  4. Facilitate class discussions and encourage student participation.
  5. Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, exams, and practical demonstrations.
  6. Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them improve their skills.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and techniques in cosmetology to ensure curriculum is relevant and current.
  8. Collaborate with other instructors and staff to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive educational experience for students.
  9. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress.
  10. Serve as a mentor and role model for students, promoting professionalism and ethical behavior in the beauty industry.
  11. Participate in department meetings and professional development opportunities.
  12. Assist with recruitment and retention efforts for the cosmetology program.
  13. Adhere to all school policies and procedures.
  14. Comply with state licensing and accreditation requirements.
  15. Represent the school and the cosmetology program in a positive and professional manner.

Job Qualifications
  • Valid Cosmetology License: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid Cosmetology License Issued By The State Of Louisiana.

  • Teaching Experience: Previous Experience Teaching Cosmetology Courses, Either At A Vocational School Or Community College, Is Preferred.

  • Knowledge Of State Cosmetology Regulations: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of The State's Cosmetology Regulations And Be Able To Effectively Teach Students About These Guidelines.

  • Communication Skills: Good Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, Are Essential For An Adjunct Instructor To Effectively Convey Information To Students.

  • Industry Experience: A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Working In The Cosmetology Industry Is Required, With A Focus On Hands-On Skills Such As Hair Cutting, Styling, And Coloring.
