- Provide support to experienced Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors in conducting assessments and developing individualized plans for clients with disabilities to achieve their vocational goals.
- Participate in client meetings and assist in the implementation of vocational rehabilitation services.
- Shadow experienced counselors and observe their interactions with clients to gain a better understanding of best practices in vocational rehabilitation.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of client progress and services provided.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative and client-centered approach to vocational rehabilitation.
- Attend trainings and workshops to expand knowledge and skills in the field of vocational rehabilitation.
- Assist in conducting outreach and recruitment efforts to identify potential clients for the program.
- Collaborate with community organizations and employers to identify potential job opportunities for clients.
- Adhere to ethical standards and guidelines set by the State of Illinois and the field of vocational rehabilitation.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to all privacy laws and regulations.
- Strive to provide quality services and make a positive impact on the lives of clients with disabilities.
- Continuously evaluate and improve upon services provided, seeking guidance and feedback from experienced counselors.
- Embrace diversity and promote inclusivity in all aspects of the job.
- Adhere to all program policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Actively participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving the program.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
Knowledge Of Vocational Rehabilitation Principles And Practices.
Bachelor's Degree In Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Or A Related Field.
Ability To Work With Individuals With Disabilities And Diverse Backgrounds.
Familiarity With State And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Vocational Rehabilitation Services.
