  1. Maintain inventory levels: As a Storekeeper I, you will be responsible for ensuring that our state facilities have an adequate supply of necessary items. This includes monitoring inventory levels, tracking usage, and ordering new supplies as needed.
  2. Organize and store supplies: You will be responsible for organizing and storing supplies in an efficient and accessible manner. This includes ensuring proper labeling, rotation of stock, and maintaining a clean and organized storage area.
  3. Receive and inspect deliveries: As a Storekeeper I, you will be responsible for receiving and inspecting all incoming deliveries to ensure they match the order and are in good condition. Any discrepancies or issues should be reported to the appropriate department.
  4. Maintain accurate records: It is essential to keep accurate records of inventory levels, orders, and deliveries. As a Storekeeper I, you will be responsible for maintaining these records and providing reports as needed.
  5. Assist with budgeting: You will work closely with the departmental budgeting team to track expenses and make recommendations for cost-saving measures related to inventory and supplies.
  6. Provide exceptional customer service: As a representative of the State of Illinois, it is important to provide excellent customer service to all departments and employees. This includes responding promptly to requests, addressing any concerns, and ensuring timely delivery of supplies.

  8. Collaborate with team members: You will work closely with other team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This may include coordinating with other storekeepers, procurement officers, and departmental staff.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent Required.

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience In Storekeeping, Inventory Management, Or Related Field.

  • Basic Knowledge Of Inventory Control Principles And Procedures.

  • Familiarity With Microsoft Office And Inventory Management Software.

  • Strong Organizational And Communication Skills.
