  1. Ensure compliance with state and federal procurement laws, regulations, and policies.
  2. Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  3. Oversee the entire procurement process, from soliciting bids to contract negotiation and award.
  4. Review and evaluate bids, proposals, and contracts to ensure fairness and integrity.
  5. Collaborate with government agencies to identify their procurement needs and provide guidance on the procurement process.
  6. Conduct market research to identify potential vendors and suppliers.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and quality products/services.
  8. Monitor and track procurement activities to ensure timely and accurate execution.
  9. Train and educate government employees on procurement laws and processes.
  10. Continuously evaluate and improve procurement processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  11. Prepare and present reports on procurement activities to government officials.
  12. Handle any procurement-related inquiries or complaints.
  13. Manage and maintain procurement records and documentation.
  14. Collaborate with other state agencies and departments to coordinate joint procurement efforts.
  15. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in procurement laws and regulations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Public Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Procurement Or Purchasing, Preferably In A Government Or Public Sector Setting.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Procurement Rules And Regulations, Including The Illinois Procurement Code.

  • Strong Analytical And Negotiation Skills.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Internal And External Stakeholders.
