  1. Oversee and manage surveying projects across the state of Illinois.
  2. Utilize expertise in surveying to ensure accurate and high-quality results.
  3. Work collaboratively with a team to meet project goals and deadlines.
  4. Conduct research and analysis to inform decision-making related to surveying projects.
  5. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior surveyors on the team.
  6. Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal laws and regulations.
  7. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all surveying activities.
  8. Communicate with stakeholders and community members to address any concerns or issues related to surveying projects.
  9. Stay current with advancements and changes in the field of surveying to continually improve processes and procedures.
  10. Represent the state agency at meetings, conferences, and other events related to surveying.
  11. Provide recommendations for budget planning and resource allocation for surveying projects.
  12. Ensure the safety of the surveying team and compliance with all safety protocols.
  13. Collaborate with other departments and agencies to coordinate surveying efforts.
  14. Take on additional responsibilities and projects as needed to support the goals of the state agency.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Surveying, Engineering, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Land Surveying.

  • Professional Land Surveyor (Pls) License In The State Of Illinois.

  • Proficient In Using Surveying Equipment And Software, Including Gps, Total Stations, And Autocad.

  • Strong Project Management Skills And Experience Leading A Team Of Surveyors.
