  1. Oversee all financial operations of the state and ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
  2. Manage and analyze financial data, including budgets, revenue, and expenditures.
  3. Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve financial operations.
  4. Monitor and report on the financial performance of the state, identifying areas for improvement.
  5. Prepare financial statements and reports for review by upper management and government officials.
  6. Conduct regular audits to ensure financial processes and records are in line with state and federal regulations.
  7. Advise and assist other departments in financial matters and provide training on financial procedures.
  8. Lead and supervise a team of accountants, providing guidance and support in their daily tasks.
  9. Stay updated on the latest accounting laws and regulations and ensure the state's compliance.
  10. Collaborate with external auditors and participate in audits to provide necessary financial information and documentation.
  11. Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues in financial records and transactions.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and security of financial information and records.
  13. Contribute to the development and improvement of financial systems and processes.
  14. Represent the state in financial meetings and conferences.
  15. Uphold the values and mission of the state and demonstrate a commitment to public service.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Public Accountant (Cpa) Designation Or Equivalent Certification

  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or Related Field

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Accounting Or Financial Management

  • Strong Knowledge Of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (Gaap)

  • Experience With Financial Reporting And Budgeting For Government Entities Preferred.
