  1. Develop and implement procurement strategies and procedures to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services for public safety agencies.
  2. Oversee the sourcing process, including identifying potential suppliers, conducting market research, and negotiating contracts.
  3. Collaborate with public safety agencies to understand their needs and provide guidance on procurement best practices.
  4. Manage a team of procurement professionals and provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship.
  5. Monitor and analyze procurement data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings opportunities.
  6. Ensure compliance with state and federal laws and regulations related to procurement.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure high-quality products and services are delivered.

  9. Conduct regular training and development programs for procurement staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  10. Represent the state in meetings and negotiations with suppliers, agencies, and stakeholders.
  11. Stay updated on industry trends, developments, and best practices in procurement and implement them where applicable.
  12. Proactively identify and resolve any procurement-related issues or challenges.
  13. Prepare and present reports, presentations, and recommendations to senior management.
  14. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Public Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Procurement And Sourcing, Preferably In A Government Or Public Safety Setting.

  • Strong Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Procurement And Sourcing.

  • Experience In Managing And Supervising A Team, With Strong Leadership And Communication Skills.

  • Familiarity With Public Safety Agencies And Their Unique Procurement Needs, Including Emergency Response Equipment And Services.
