  1. Provide excellent customer service by warmly welcoming visitors and assisting them with their inquiries or directing them to the appropriate staff member.
  2. Perform a variety of administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing office supplies.
  3. Maintain accurate and organized records, both physical and electronic, including but not limited to filing, data entry, and document management.
  4. Assist with scheduling and coordinating meetings, appointments, and events for the office.
  5. Collaborate with other office staff to ensure efficient and smooth operations, including distributing and receiving mail and packages.
  6. Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  7. Follow established procedures and guidelines to ensure compliance with state regulations.
  8. Proactively identify and address any issues or concerns that may impact the office's efficiency and productivity.
  9. Participate in training and development opportunities to continuously improve skills and knowledge.
  10. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  11. Attend and actively participate in team meetings and provide input and suggestions to improve office processes.
  12. Help create a welcoming and inclusive environment for all staff and visitors.
  13. Uphold the values and mission of the State of Illinois in all interactions and tasks.
