- Conduct on-site safety inspections for businesses in the Cook County area to assess compliance with state and federal safety regulations.
- Provide guidance and recommendations to businesses on how to improve their safety practices and procedures.
- Create and deliver training programs on workplace safety for companies in the Cook County area.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with businesses, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote safety awareness and compliance.
- Stay up-to-date on all safety regulations and industry best practices to ensure accurate and effective guidance for businesses.
- Conduct research and analysis on safety trends and data to identify potential risks and develop proactive solutions.
- Collaborate with other members of the Occupational Safety Consultant team to share knowledge and resources.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation on safety inspections, recommendations, and training activities.
- Communicate effectively with businesses to address any safety concerns or violations and provide support in resolving them.
- Represent the Cook County branch of the State of Illinois' Occupational Safety Consultant team at conferences, workshops, and other events to promote workplace safety.
Bachelor's Degree In Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Or A Related Field.
Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Or Certified Industrial Hygienist (Cih) Designation.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Occupational Safety Consulting Or A Related Field.
Knowledge Of Federal And State Safety Regulations, Including Osha And Epa Standards.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Train And Educate Employees On Safety Practices.
