  1. Oversee the daily operations of the Juvenile Justice Youth and Family Specialist team.
  2. Ensure that all team members are adhering to state and federal laws and regulations regarding juvenile justice.
  3. Develop and implement policies and procedures to effectively manage and support at-risk youth and their families.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the performance of team members, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
  5. Collaborate with other departments and agencies to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to juvenile justice.
  6. Conduct regular trainings and workshops for team members to enhance their knowledge and skills in working with at-risk youth and families.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and resources to support the needs of at-risk youth and their families.
  8. Oversee the intake and assessment process for youth and families entering the juvenile justice system.
  9. Ensure that all case files are accurately maintained and that all necessary documentation is completed in a timely manner.
  10. Provide guidance and support to team members in handling complex and sensitive cases.
  11. Participate in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new team members.
  12. Serve as a liaison between the department and other stakeholders, such as judges, attorneys, and social service agencies.
  13. Develop and manage budgets for the Juvenile Justice Youth and Family Specialist team.
  14. Stay updated on current research and best practices in the field of juvenile justice.
  15. Maintain a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and a commitment to the well-being of at-risk youth and families.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience Working In The Juvenile Justice System, Preferably In A Supervisory Role.

  • Knowledge Of Juvenile Justice Laws, Policies, And Procedures At The State And Federal Level.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Work With Youth, Families, And Other Professionals.

  • Ability To Develop And Implement Programs And Interventions That Promote Positive Outcomes For At-Risk Youth And Their Families.
