Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring infection control policies and procedures across our state agencies to ensure the health and safety of our citizens.   1. Develop and implement infection control policies and procedures for all state agencies.
  2. Monitor and enforce compliance with infection control protocols and regulations.
  3. Conduct regular trainings and education sessions for state agency staff on infection control best practices.
  4. Stay up-to-date on current infection control trends and guidelines to continuously improve policies and procedures.
  5. Collaborate with state agencies to identify potential infection control risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  6. Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure infection control standards are being met.
  7. Serve as a resource for state agency staff regarding infection control questions and concerns.
  8. Investigate and respond to any reported outbreaks or incidents of infection within state agencies.
  9. Maintain accurate records and data related to infection control efforts and outcomes.
  10. Communicate with state and local health departments to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  11. Participate in emergency preparedness and response efforts related to infectious diseases.
  12. Collaborate with other infection control coordinators within the state to share best practices and coordinate efforts.
  13. Attend conferences and workshops to stay current on infection control practices and network with other professionals in the field.
  14. Prepare reports and presentations to share infection control data and progress with state leadership.
  15. Demonstrate a commitment to promoting public health and preventing the spread of infections within the community.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field, With A Focus On Infection Control And Prevention.

  • Certified In Infection Control (Cic) By The Certification Board Of Infection Control And Epidemiology (Cbic).

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Infection Control And Prevention Within A Healthcare Setting.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Regulations Related To Infection Control, Including Cdc Guidelines And Osha Standards.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Train And Educate Healthcare Staff On Infection Control Protocols And Procedures.
