  1. Conduct research on available grants and funding opportunities that align with the State of Illinois' goals and initiatives.
  2. Collaborate with various departments and agencies to identify grant needs and develop proposals.
  3. Write clear, concise, and persuasive grant proposals that effectively communicate the State of Illinois' mission and objectives.
  4. Ensure all grant applications and proposals are submitted accurately and in a timely manner.
  5. Maintain a thorough understanding of grant requirements and regulations to ensure compliance.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with potential funders and grant-making organizations.
  7. Monitor and track grant awards, expenditures, and reporting requirements.
  8. Work closely with project managers to ensure grant funds are used effectively and efficiently.
  9. Provide support and guidance to colleagues in grant writing and management.
  10. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in grant writing and management.
  11. Assist in the evaluation and assessment of grant-funded programs and projects.
  12. Maintain accurate and organized records of all grants and related documentation.
  13. Represent the State of Illinois at grant-related meetings, events, and conferences.
  14. Contribute to the development and implementation of grant-related policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  15. Act as a liaison between the State of Illinois and grant funding agencies.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Public Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Grant Management Or Grant Writing.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Federal And State Grant Regulations And Guidelines.

  • Excellent Communication And Writing Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Complex Information To A Variety Of Stakeholders.

  • Experience With Grant Management Software And Databases.
