- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles in the preparation and analysis of financial statements for the State of Illinois.
- Review and analyze financial data, transactions, and records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies or errors in financial records.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of all financial activities in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
- Work closely with other departments to gather financial information and ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in GAAP regulations and standards and make recommendations for any necessary changes to financial processes and procedures.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and other financial reports.
- Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and monitor budgetary performance throughout the year.
- Collaborate with external auditors to provide necessary information and support for the annual audit.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and exercise discretion in handling sensitive data.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with GAAP principles and best practices.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Bachelor's Degree In Accounting Or Related Field
Cpa Certification
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Financial Reporting And Auditing
Thorough Knowledge Of Gaap Principles And Procedures
Experience Working With Government Accounting And Reporting, Specifically With State Of Illinois Regulations And Requirements.
