  1. Investigate potential cases of fraud and abuse in the state's programs.
  2. Analyze data and identify suspicious patterns to detect fraudulent activities.
  3. Take decisive action to prevent and stop fraudulent activities.
  4. Communicate effectively with team members, program participants, and external agencies.
  5. Refer cases of fraud to appropriate authorities for further investigation and prosecution.
  6. Disqualify individuals who have been found to have committed fraud from receiving benefits.
  7. Ensure the integrity and accuracy of program eligibility determinations.
  8. Conduct thorough and timely investigations, while adhering to all state and federal regulations.
  9. Collaborate with other departments and agencies to share information and coordinate efforts to prevent and detect fraud.
  10. Stay updated on the latest fraud detection techniques and regulations to effectively perform job duties.
  11. Maintain accurate and detailed records of investigations and disqualifications.
  12. Provide training and education to program participants and staff on fraud prevention and detection.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve upon fraud detection processes and procedures.
  14. Uphold the values and mission of the state and the department in all actions and decisions.
  15. Serve as a role model for ethical behavior and integrity in the workplace.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Fraud Investigation And/Or Disqualification Processes.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Fraud Prevention And Detection.
