  1. Oversee the maintenance and operation of the state fleet, ensuring all vehicles are safe, efficient, and cost-effective.
  2. Develop and implement policies and procedures to maintain high quality standards for the state fleet.
  3. Manage a team of fleet technicians and mechanics, providing guidance, support, and resources to ensure smooth operations.
  4. Monitor and analyze fleet performance data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for cost savings.
  5. Collaborate with other departments and agencies to coordinate fleet operations and address any issues or concerns.
  6. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations related to fleet management, including safety and environmental standards.
  7. Maintain accurate records and reports on fleet maintenance, repairs, and expenses.
  8. Develop and manage the fleet budget, tracking expenses and making strategic decisions to optimize resources.
  9. Conduct regular inspections and audits of vehicles, equipment, and facilities to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  10. Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in fleet management to improve operations and efficiency.
  11. Communicate effectively with department leaders, employees, and external stakeholders to provide updates and address any concerns related to the state fleet.
  12. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development among fleet staff.
  13. Represent the state at meetings, conferences, and other events related to fleet management.
  14. Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all aspects of job performance, promoting a culture of integrity and accountability.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Logistics, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Fleet Management, Preferably In A Government Setting.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Regulations Related To Fleet Management.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills.

  • Ability To Develop And Implement Strategic Plans For Fleet Management And Cost Savings.
