  1. Coordinate and oversee various employment and training programs to ensure their effectiveness and impact on the state's workforce.
  2. Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of employment and training programs.
  3. Collaborate with government agencies, community organizations, and other stakeholders to identify workforce needs and develop solutions.
  4. Monitor and evaluate program outcomes and make adjustments as needed to meet performance goals.
  5. Manage a team of employment and training staff, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in workforce development to inform program design and implementation.
  7. Develop and maintain relationships with employers to identify job opportunities and placement opportunities for program participants.
  8. Partner with educational institutions to develop training programs and curricula that align with current and future job market needs.
  9. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to employment and training programs.
  10. Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on program activities, outcomes, and expenditures.
  11. Serve as a resource for program participants, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their employment and training goals.
  12. Represent the state of Illinois at conferences, meetings, and other events related to workforce development.
  13. Continuously seek out ways to improve and innovate employment and training programs to better serve the needs of our citizens and the state's workforce.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Workforce Development, Employment Placement, Or Training Coordination.

  • Knowledge Of Federal And State Laws And Regulations Related To Employment And Training Programs.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Work With Diverse Populations And Stakeholders.

  • Proficiency In Data Analysis And Reporting To Track Program Outcomes And Make Data-Driven Decisions.
