We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as an Employee Screening and Recruitment Manager at the State of Illinois.   1. Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent to the organization.
  2. Oversee the screening and selection process for all job openings.

  4. Conduct thorough candidate screenings, including reviewing resumes, conducting phone and in-person interviews, and administering assessments.
  5. Collaborate with department managers to understand their hiring needs and develop job descriptions that accurately reflect the qualifications and responsibilities of the position.
  6. Develop and maintain positive relationships with potential candidates, keeping them engaged throughout the recruitment process.
  7. Stay updated on the latest recruitment trends and best practices to continuously improve the recruitment process.
  8. Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations related to recruitment and hiring.
  9. Manage the onboarding process for new employees, including conducting orientation and completing all necessary paperwork.
  10. Develop and maintain a database of potential candidates for future job openings.
  11. Monitor and report on recruitment metrics to track the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make recommendations for improvement.
  12. Collaborate with the HR team to ensure a seamless and positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  13. Train and mentor other HR staff on recruitment and selection best practices.
  14. Represent the organization at job fairs and other recruitment events.
  15. Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Human Resources Management Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Employee Screening And Recruitment, Preferably In A Government Or Public Sector Setting.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws Related To Hiring And Employment Practices.

  • Experience With Developing And Implementing Effective Recruitment Strategies And Processes.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact With A Diverse Range Of Stakeholders And Candidates.
