
DOC SHAWNEE CC MAINTENANCE WORKER (POWER PLANT)

- Perform routine maintenance on power plant equipment, including but not limited to boilers, generators, pumps, and motors.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Conduct regular inspections of power plant equipment to identify potential problems and ensure proper functioning.
- Monitor and maintain proper levels of fuel, oil, and other necessary supplies for power plant operations.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations while performing maintenance tasks.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and report any issues or concerns to the supervisor.
- Collaborate with other maintenance workers and facility staff to address any maintenance needs or emergencies.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment or upgrades to existing systems as needed.
- Adhere to department policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Promote a positive and professional image of the facility and the department through interactions with offenders, staff, and the public.
- Support the mission of the Department of Corrections by contributing to the rehabilitation and reintegration of offenders.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of all sensitive information and materials related to the facility.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Power Plant Maintenance.
Knowledge Of Electrical, Mechanical, And Hvac Systems.
Ability To Read And Interpret Technical Manuals And Blueprints.
Possess A Valid Driver's License And The Ability To Obtain A Commercial Driver's License (Cdl).
