  1. Maintain accurate and confidential records for all inmates at the Kewanee Life Skills and Reentry Center.
  2. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding record-keeping and inmate information.
  3. Support the day-to-day operations of the facility by assisting with record requests and providing information to staff and external agencies.
  4. Develop and implement efficient record-keeping processes and procedures to improve overall efficiency and organization.
  5. Communicate effectively with staff, inmates, and external agencies to provide accurate and timely information.
  6. Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when handling sensitive inmate information.
  7. Collaborate with other departments within the facility to ensure seamless record-keeping and information sharing.
  8. Train and supervise subordinate staff in record-keeping procedures and processes.
  9. Participate in audits and inspections to ensure compliance with record-keeping standards.
  10. Act as a liaison between the facility and external agencies regarding inmate records and information.
  11. Assist with the creation and maintenance of databases and systems to track inmate information.
  12. Continuously strive to improve record-keeping processes and procedures to meet changing needs and regulations.
  13. Participate in meetings and trainings related to record-keeping and inmate information management.
  14. Maintain a positive and respectful work environment and promote the mission and values of the Department of Corrections.
  15. Adhere to all safety and security protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all staff and inmates.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Public Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Records Management Or A Related Field.

  • Excellent Organizational And Time Management Skills.

  • Proficiency In Microsoft Office And Records Management Software.

  • Knowledge Of State And Federal Laws And Regulations Related To Records Management.
